Pan Fried Cod

Pan Fried Cod is not mentioned specifically in The Shipping News however it is a general recipe to follow when cooking cod cheeks or cod tongues.  Simply substitute the cod cheek or tongue for the fillets. ENJOY!!!
Ingredients
Desired amount of cod steaks or fillets
1/2 cup vegetable oil
flour
salt and pepper
Directions
In a plate combine 1 cup of flour, salt and pepper.  Take each piece of cod and roll it in the flour mixture.  Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan and place floured fish in the hot oil.  Fry until golden.
A common compliment to pan fried cod is Pan Fries.  To make pan fries simply cut potatoes into round slices and fry in hot oil until golden.
